Johannes Paul Rutzki died 14th Oct 1965 A memory from Pete about Johannes;
As I recall from my youth Johannes or Johnny Rutski used to own Rutski's garage in Bitton Park Road just opposite the bottom of Mill Lane next door to Milford Park. His wife used to run the sweetshop next door. The garage was later to become Roger Hook Tyres.
I think Johnny was either a German prisoner of war or a Polish refugee.
He left behind a wife, daughter and son dying tragically young. Sadly Roger Hook also died young.
